PRAYERS FOR YOUR HEART
I am not unaware of the emotional tug of this journey. I've heard enough tears, seen enough grief, and heard enough frustration from others, while experiencing myself falling apart too. I know first-hand that believing for marriage is a heart journey before it is anything else.
Faith is a hard thing. Faith has no shortcuts. I have heard the elders say it and now I have experienced it and can boldly say "you cannot pray yourself out of a process".
So, wherever you are in your process with God regarding your marriage, take 5 minutes and pray for your heart. Pray like your life depends on it. Mark this post as important by adding it to your reading list and pray it until YOU KNOW that God sees you.
LET US PRAY
Dear Lord, teach me to know you are right here with me. Beyond the noise of everyday life, the random advices that steal my faith and peace, teach me to know you are right here.
Help my soul to comprehend that my life is well accounted for. Teach me how aware of me you are. Let me know that you have not abandoned me like men abandon projects.
You have blessed my single season with joy and gladness. You have reached others through my life and blessed my community through my hands. Now, as I transition, teach me to let go of the habits that no longer serve my transition to marriage.
Steady my heart in the midnight hours when I cannot rely on my to-do list to distract me. Teach me to live by faith and to wait patiently for your will. Until my love comes, and it is now my turn, keep my heart steady and my hope constant in Jesus Name.
